And the evening and the morning were the first day. - Genesis 1:5
Last night, after 10 hours in airplanes, we arrived in Tahiti at about 9:50 local time. (Grandma sent a conversion formula for how to translate that to your time if you are interested.) It was good to have good friends and mission president and wife there to greet us.
We got home, unpacked, and made it to bed about 1:00 local time. After getting up about 5:30 a.m. at Grant's (1:30 Tahiti time), it made for a long day and we both slept well.
This morning, Sister Fox took us to the grocery store. In this picture, you can see the Tahiti temple on the right, and our apartment is in the white house on the left.
We then walked to the mission office and got the car that we will be using. We then went to her house. While Mom and Sister Fox talked, I walked up the hill, and picked some fruit. The ripe bananas on the tree were too high for me to get to, but we have some that are not quite ready to pick, and lower, in our yard. Here is some of the fruit that I brought back.
The 4 on the right are mangos in varying degrees of ripeness, a small noni in the front, 2 pomegranates, and an avocado. I put mom's phone in for size comparison. And yes, that huge thing on the left is an avocado.
Tonight we will be going to a musical presentation at the Farai'ipiti building, which is our stake center.
More stories to tell later. Hope that you all enjoyed Incredibles 2. But mostly we hope that you enjoy each other.
Love,
