As some of you know, Jonathan Davis Hardy recently had a
birthday. He turned 29, the same age as Great-Grandma Hardy! ;) He’s getting
pretty old!
We wanted to recount some of Jon’s accomplishments from his
28th year, just so you can all be in awe of his awesomeness.
Here are some of them:
1)
During the year Jon read 58 books. That’s a lot
of reading! These are his favorites from those:
·
All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
·
To the Rescue: the biography of Thomas S. Monson
(read twice, this year) by
·
Outward Mindset by The Arbinger Institute
·
John Quincy Adams by Harlow Giles Unger
·
George MacDonald by C.S. Lewis
·
The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery
·
Les Miserables by Victor Hugo
·
American Ulysses: A Life of Ulysses S. Grant by Ronald
C. White Jr.
2)
This year Jon started his Masters of Business
Administration program at Brigham Young University. He has made a lot of new
friends and has been studying and learning a lot through that and is already almost 3 months
in.
3)
In September Jon ran a full marathon in 3:20. Wow!
4)
He helped build a woman’s clinic while on a
recent trip to Peru.
5)
Jon visited 8 national parks. Two were with
Grandma and Grandpa Hardy and Grant: Yellowstone and Teton National Parks.
6)
Jon has been a Cub Scout Master and has served
with the Bear Den.
7)
Jon was a Trek Pa in June.
8)
This year Jon further perfected his granola
making skills. He makes his granola every couple weeks and gives it out to many
friends and family. He has made pumpkin, chocolate and peanut butter granola in
addition to experimenting with the normal recipe.
9)
Jon’s back and hand made it into the Conference Ensign….
10) He’s
also been a wonderful husband to Anneli.
He’s a pretty great part of our family and we all love him
very much! Happy Birthday Jon!
