We had an awesome trip, between Mt. Rushmore and weird games we played in the car, and we just had to top it all off with something incredible. For our final leg of the journey, we rode the S. S. Badger for 4 hours as we cruised across Lake Michigan. Anticipation was high as we arrived at the doc, quickly finishing our lunch and getting everything we needed from our cars. Weird fact about this ferry, you couldn't get to your car for the entire ride. They didn't even let you drive your car onto the ship. As we filled a backpack with books, coloring books, and other entertainment items, we had no clue that we wouldn't need them. One aboard the boat, we all watched the takeoff with excitement. Goodbye Wisconsin!

David thought that he was finally in on all the excitement... |
After we left the dock, we explored the ship. They had 2 food courts, a gift shop, and multiple levels of outdoor decks to observe the lake. You know how usually when you take a ferry, you can see the shoreline of the destination? Well, all we could see was water, and fog. After we had left the shore behind, they started 'Badger Bingo' in the main lobby. Zach, Aly, Josh, and Elijah all won a round, so did David! Zach, Aly, Josh, Elijah, and Spencer won a team trivia game, (Zach procured all of the answers) and Sarah was crowned the Badger Bingo Grand Champion after winning the blackout round. Overall, everyone had fun. If you are ever going to Michigan from Wisconsin, I defiantly recommend the S. S. Badger.
